Crime, drugs, unemployment…despair. These social problems affect urban communities all over America. And nowhere more than Camden, NJ. Named one of the most dangerous cities in America, and with a graduation rate of less than 50% among public high school students, Camden is in danger of losing its young people to hopelessness.

Is it possible to overcome these obstacles? Even in Camden? The answer is a resounding YES!

Meet five young adults who grew up in Camden and whose futures are filled with hope!

A Brighter Future looks at the ways lives can be altered through the arts, and it provides encouragement to other communities hoping to engage their youth in constructive patterns of change.

Music has the power to transform lives. The scientific evidence has been demonstrated in numerous studies. A Brighter Future is about the human evidence.

A Brighter Future is a sponsored project of New Jersey Media Arts Center, Inc.
